At The Greenhouse at Historic Abicht’s Landing, we are constantly dreaming of ways we can make your visit more memorable and more unique. Here are some of our future plans:
The Medicinal Herb Garden at Historic Abicht’s Landing: We hope to plant a sustainable herb garden featuring indigenous Appalachian herbs. Designed as a walking tour, this garden will highlight the cultural and historical importance of herbs and their uses (both past and present) as home remedies.
Weddings at Historic Abicht’s Landing: The current English Garden will be restructured to become a wedding “stage” for ceremonies with the lake as the backdrop. Receptions can be staged on site or elsewhere.
Portraits at Historic Abicht’s Landing: Professional photographers will offer packages to capture and preserve special moments and people in your life. With Forest City Lake as a backdrop, some possibilities will include Senior Portraits, Family Portraits, Bridal Portraits and Pet Portraits.
