Fund Raising
As independent business owners, we fully embrace our communities and actively support non-profit groups, charities, schools and churches. Lately, we have found that we can do the most good by hosting fund-raising events ourselves.
For example, we staged two fun and successful events this past Christmas to raise money for local animal rescue groups. (Have I mentioned that we are all pet lovers at The Greenhouse?) Shoppers in the stores were invited to buy a ticket for $5.00, and in exchange, they drew a discount coupon giving them a surprise percentage off their purchases. All monies from tickets sold, along with an additional percentage of gross sales for the event, were donated back to each group. Talk about fun, easy and pain free! We were thrilled to be able to raise hundreds of dollars for each organization.
